San Diego - Day 6 - February 17, 2015

Started the day with a trip to the exercise room. Trying not to gain any vacation weight as we have to get in shape for a November wedding. It was a little cooler today. I think the high was about 62 but it was warm in the sun with a slight breeze. We certainly can't complain given what it's doing back home. Today we took our senior citizen bus passes (30 days =$18) and headed off to Old Town which is now a State Park. It is a nice area to stroll around viewing the old homes, learning the history of San Diego and enjoying the little shops doing our part to keep the economy of San Diego moving forward.  We'll have to keep in mind that anything we buy has to fit in our suit cases.  We spent the majority of the day(5 hours) there and then for dinner went to Berta's, just outside of Old Town. The restaurant specializes in Latin American and Spanish dishes.  Our choices, pictures below, we exquisite. Took the bus home and then it was time to take care of the mundane but necessary task ... the wash instead of heading to the hot tub. It is so nice to have the laundry room right across the hall from our room.

  1. No worry about fitting things in suitcases. You can always ship. 😃

    1. That's what I told Ron. It might be easier than trying to over pack the bags.
