Happy Birthday Judy! We know it is the 22nd but we were a bit behind with our blog yesterday so it came out a day late.
The water was calling us today so we ventured off to Seaport Village, the Embarcadero, and the beautiful harbor of San Diego. They really have done a lovely job with their downtown/convention center/harbor area.

One of the first places we stumbled upon was Ben and Jerry's and so we had to try some of Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Dough which had just been unveiled the other night on his show. We have to say they did a good job and it was a tasty treat.

Seaport Village is a little cluster of pricey shops and restaurants located next to the Convention Center and the Embarcadero. We did some window shopping and scoped out a place for Dave and Sam to visit in November but mostly enjoyed the views of the bridge to Coronado, the SD skyline, and the activity in the harbor. We also looked at the fish market that was on the pier. Ron suggested to one of the owners that during Lent they should be there on Friday in addition to Saturday. Of course there are always the huge yachts that make you wonder what people do to earn that kind of money.

| I shudders when I saw these lads as they were strewn all over the place when I was snorkeling in Cuba. Running into one would not be pleasant. They say they are an edible delicacy IF you enjoy eating .... well I'll leave that to your imagination. |

After all of our walking we worked up an appetite and decided to eat at Joe's Crab Shack at the Rowing Club. We had Crab Nachos - free from one of our app coupons with purchase of an entree - which were excellent and then we shared a plate of calamari and shrimp. Then it was home via our usual modes of transportation. "You take the Green Line to the um um and then take the 30 . . ."

Tomorrow we will go to church and spend a quiet day in the condo. It is supposed to rain but we'll believe it when we see it. It will be a good time for me to work on wedding ideas that I can send to Chris.
