San Diego is a multi-cultural city. Not only is there a huge Hispanic influence but almost every place we've been we've heard the tongues of other countries.
From there we went over the Coronado bridge and parked just a block off of the main drag, Orange Street. We walked the main street and enjoyed the pretty, quaint homes along the road. Hotel del Coronado was our ultimate destination and we walked there enjoying the shops and lovely homes. We even stopped at an olive oil and balsamic vinegar shop and learned every thing we never knew about them. For example, I never realized that top shelf balsamic is aged for a minimum of 12 years!!! No we didn't buy any. We continued on to the Ferry Landing leaving Jason where he parked his car and stopped for a BOGO ice cream at Cold Stone. Jumped on the ferry and again reveled in the harbor and skyline views on our trip across to Broadway Pier. From there it was a quick trip to Santa Fe Station, hopped on the Green line to Old Town and then caught the #30 home. We are really getting pretty good with knowing which buses to take.
beautiful cottage bungalow probably worth 1,000,00 on Coronado
The iconic pix of the legendary del Coronado Hotel. Did I just see the ghosts of Marylin, Tony and Jack?
Mr. Improv with a classic "how to impress and pick up an m&m" ...... The police simply walked by.

half marathon in SD tomorrow. Maybe next year I'll run it .... NOT. Those days are behind me but they have a 5K that I might be able to conquer.
Thanks Jason for the ride to Coronado and taking us to Cuatro Milpas!! Another locale checked off our "to do(visit)" list.

They have so many delicious oils and vinegars at that place! I've been meaning to go back after our first visit there. Also cuatro milpas = yum. And yes the planes flying right through downtown is scary.
