Hi Ho Hi Ho it's off to La Jolla we go. Jumped on the good ol' #30 bus but this time headed to La Jolla Cove. Started off with a little window shopping down the main drag but that's all we did - figured we probably couldn't stand the sticker shock of the La Jolla boutiques particularly since every other car is a Porsche, Mercedes, Lexus or other high end auto. We spent the rest of the afternoon walking the boardwalk and taking in all the nature. A beautiful sunny day was the perfect backdrop for this activity. We watched the sea lions slumber on the rocks and then glide effortlessly through the water. We saw them sunning on the cliffs and smelled them from a distance also. The pelicans were there too gliding on the air currents and resting on the rocks. The flowers, waves, bright sun and birds made for an idyllic day.

Hungry from all our fresh air and walking we went into La Jolla and stopped at an small, quaint Indian restaurant called Tandoori Chef. We had a great meal - BOGO of course and enjoyed some samosas, lentil soup, chicken in butter sauce, chicken vindaloo, and lamb curry. Delicious!!!

We don't always get to eat good Indian food and this was excellent. No supper tonite either ..these luppers work just fine
Capped off the day with a nice soak in the hot tub. Met a Navy helicopter pilot - Adam Niekras, who believe it or not, was from Syracuse. His father lives in Watertown and his significant other is Deltra Willis - small world!
